Searching for parents of Alexander Thompson who married Eleanor Casserly 01 JUL 1834 in Cornwall, Ontario, Canada and eventually resided in
Osgoode, Ontario, Canada. He may have had a brother named Christopher. He was born about 1805 and county Cork has been mentioned by other
family members over the years. Their children were (in order of birth) Catherine, Margaret, Mary, John, Anne, and Ellen Jane. Canadian census records list both Alexander and Eleanor as being from Ireland. It has been very difficult to get any information on Eleanor's ( Ellen on some documents ) parents. The current theory is that since Alexander bought his land from John and Mary Casserly that they must have been Ellen's
parents; but they do not show up on any Canadian census that I could find. There is a record of a Margaret Casserly who died in Massachusetts, whose parents were listed as John Casserly and Mary Murray. Any help would be appreciated.
