Hello ÔÇô

I am researching a family line for my significant other.

Here is the information I have:

Father of Philip Coyle (b. 1812, 1817, or 1819, County Cavan): Either Edward Coyle, resided his entire life in County Cavan OR possibly Philip Coyle, who also immigrated to Pennsylvania from County Cavan (1832-1834)

Philip Coyle (b. 1812, 1817, or 1819, County Cavan ÔÇô dates vary in various resources found; d. 1874, Mahanoy Township, Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania, USA)
* Immigrated from Ireland to either Carbon County or Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania: 1832, 1833 or 1834, per various resources found, at age of 15.) He may have come with his father (named Philip) and with other family members, or not, sources vary on this information.
* Occupation: Coal Miner
* Resided most of his life: Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania; with a few years in Columbia County, Pennsylvania and maybe Carbon County, Pennsylvania (sources vary)
* Married Julia Duffy (b. abt 1823, Ireland) bef 1847, Pennsylvania

Children, all born in Pennsylvania:
* Patrick (b. abt 1847; d. bef 1859, Pennsylvania)
* Edward M. Coyle (b. 14 Mar1849; d. 11 Sep 1908, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; buried Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Philadelphia); Occupation most of his life: Miner (coal)
* Michael Coyle (b. Feb 1850; bef 1910?); Occupation: Coal Miner; May have been illiterate
* Mary Coyle (b. abt 1855; d. ?), Jun 1880, residing with widowed mother, Julia, Yatesville, Mahanoy Township, Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania
* Philip Coyle (b. May 1858; d. 1938?, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania [May have died 10 Feb 1938, per death notice Pottsville Republican Death Notices, 1938, p.405] ); Occupations: Miner (coal); abt 1910, Plumber, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; abt 1930, Watchman, Hosiery Mill, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania)
* Patrick Coyle (b. abt 1860; d. ?), Occupation as of 1870: Laborer in mine
* John J. Coyle (b. 10 Nov 1863, Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania; d. 4 Sep 1933, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; buried: Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania), Occupations: Teacher, Pennsylvania State Senator from Schuylkill County, President of several insurance companies in Philadelphia, among other things
Julia Coyle (b. abt 1865; d. ?)

I have much more on this family in the USA. I am most interested in working back on the family line in Cavan County, Ireland. According to biographies of John J. Coyle, a Pennsylvania state senator, among other things, his paternal grandfather was either named Edward Coyle and resided his entire life in Cavan County, dieing there before 1893, OR, named Philip Coyle and immigrated to Pennsylvania with his family, including his son, Philip (b. either 1812, 1817, or 1819 Cavan.) ["Thanks a lot for the confusion John J." :roll: ]

Any information or leads on this Coyle family line in Cavan County will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance. -- Jean, Missouri, USA
